Boko Haram terrorists, on Tuesday, beheaded one of Yobe's State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam’s security aids in Kukareta, a suburb of Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.
The deceased, identified as Inspector Ahmed, alongside his colleagues, were returning to Damaturu after an official assignment in Maiduguri.
It was gathered that they met the Boko Haram insurgents dressed in military uniform at a roadblock.
The gallant Police Officer approached the terrorists to inquire from them the reason for blocking the high way.
The insurgents shot Inspector Ahmed point blank and subsequently beheaded him, while the remaining police escorts ran back without any attempt to rescue their colleague.
