Nigerian fashion designer Kiki Okewale makes history in Bangkok after that of Dubai

After being chosen as the first and only Nigerians to showcase at the Dubai Fashion Week, Kiki Okewale breaks history again Just recently, the ace fashion designer remade history at the Thai Silk Festival held in Bangkok. Okewale was the recipient of several style and achievement awards at the grand finale of the festival.

Just last April, Kiki Okewale became the first and only Nigerian, African designer to showcase at the Dubai Fashion Week. Just a short while after making history, she yet again made a huge mark in Bangkok.
According to reports, the ace fashion designer was a part of the Thai Silk Festival held in Bangkok, November and was a recipient of several style and achievement awards at the grand finale of the festival.

The International Thai Silk Fashion Week was organised at the behest of Queen Sirikit by the Thai Tourists Assistance Foundation, in collaboration with members of the foreign diplomatic corps in Bangkok, as part of the annual ‘Celebration of Silk’ project to showcase modern and traditional Thai silk and designs.
Sun News reports that this year's festival involved 43 International fashion designers from over 60 countries, who showcased their collections, made from Thai silk material. Again, Okewale was the only Nigerian who participated in the event.
According to reports, Okewale was the special guest of royalty; she was invited by the blue-blooded Princess Sheikha Hend Al Qassemi of the Emirate, who is a descendant of the royal family of Sharjah.
It is, however, important to note that while the celebrities are the ones who are donned in these beautiful creations, it usually takes the effort of a creative and hardworking team to pull off looks that are red carpet worthy, and just generally beautiful to gaze upon.
